Cycle Britain

97 miles / 4 Days

Perhaps you’ll free-wheel into Chipping Campden to discover a wool market in full swing, or pedal past Manor Estates oozing grandeur and wealth, or roll through a village – blink and you’ll miss it! – whose honey-coloured and thatched roofed cottages seem too fairytale-perfect for anyone to actually live in.
Away from the villages, the cycling is a delight. Quiet country roads and bike trails ripple over the landscape’s hills and valleys, passing rivers, farms and woodlands. There’s 4,300 foot (1,300 metres) of climbing; enough to make you sweat but not too much that you can’t savour the ride.
Finishing in Oxford, home to one of the world’s oldest and most prestigious universities, you can be sure of lots to uncover and many pubs and restaurants to celebrate your success.

Tour Highlights.

  • Stratford-upon-Avon: Birthplace of William Shakespeare, Historic Town Centre.
  • Accommodation in Grade-II Listed Buildings and Manor Houses.
  • Quintessential Cotswolds Villages and Market Towns.
  • Enchanting Cotswolds scenery; rolling hills, hidden valleys, quiet lanes and soothing farm-scapes.
  • Broadway Tower; the longest climb of the tour rewards you with a panorama overlooking 16 counties.
  • Blenheim Palace.
  • Oxford, ‘The City of Dreaming Spires’.
